Sport Scholarships

The programme is designed towards top performers who have a genuine desire, work ethic and belief that they can maximise their potential and attain sporting excellence. In return, our Scholars will receive additional support, extension and challenge from our dedicated and specialist coaching staff. Participation in the programme is by selection only.

The Scholarship Programme for our Lower School is focused on our holistic approach of creating a foundation for performance which includes movement mechanics, speed/power, performance nutrition and performance lifestyle.

The Senior Programme is more focused on our scholars’ key sports which is then underpinned by our Strength and Conditioning programmes. These are written individually for our scholars who attend a weekly Strength and Conditioning sessions around their timetable and enjoy the benefit of having their own personal trainer. In addition, we also organise additional lectures, forums, socials and trips for our Scholars.

Bursaries

We currently set aside a significant sum each year in order to fund Bursaries.

Means-tested bursaries are available to new entrants to the School with the overwhelming majority of bursaries awarded during the 11+ (Belmont) and 16+ entry pathways. Such awards are intended to extend the benefits of a Mill Hill education to pupils whose families would not otherwise be able to afford the School’s fees. In addition, the School makes provision for the award of hardship bursaries to assist families who experience sudden and unexpected hardship. Bursaries are funded from the School’s fee income, supplemented by contributions to The Mill Hill School Foundation Appeal.

Bursary awards are made by the Court of Governors upon the recommendation of the Foundation Bursary Committee. Families wishing to apply for financial support are encouraged to complete the below application form.

The ABC Bursary
ABC stands for A Better Chance. Thanks to the generosity of Old Millhillians, we are able to offer a full-fee bursary to a pupil (from a low-income family) with the credentials to be successful at Mill Hill School. The donors who fund this bursary believe that Mill Hill gave them an excellent start in life, a basis on which to build success in their careers. They wish to make a similar opportunity available to a young person in the future.

Support A Bursary

Bursaries open the door to a Mill Hill education regardless of a child’s means, it is something that we are proud of and haven’t lost sight of since our School was founded in 1807.
