Careers at Mill Hill
The Careers programme at Mill Hill is built with the modern world and the future of work in mind. At Mill Hill we aim to expand horizons, raise ambitions and empower pupils to make well-informed decisions about their futures. Our pupils leave Mill Hill not only with the academic achievements that allow them to progress through ambitious pathways, but with cultural capital, professional know-how and an understanding of the world of work today. Through individual advice and guidance and up-to-date labour market information, we give pupils the agency and skills needed to navigate their futures and pursue their ambitions.

Careers is embedded across School life
At Mill Hill, our Careers programme is embedded across all aspects of school life. Pupils from Year 9 to Year 13 access high-quality Careers education delivered through a comprehensive PSHE and Future Skills curriculum, Careers-focused events and advice and guidance from our in-house Careers Lead.
Our academic and co-curricular programmes are designed to support pupils in developing the necessary skills for their futures. Pupils receive guidance and teaching that helps them to develop an understanding of future pathways and equips them with the necessary skills to be successful in the world of work.

Pupils and parents are encouraged to discuss their future ambitions and plans with our in-house Careers Lead and make the most of the opportunities available through Mill Hill.

Careers Events
From parents to Old Millhillians and external partners, we engage a range of speakers from diverse professions and backgrounds to share their experience and expertise with pupils. Mill Hill hosts an ongoing series of events throughout the year for pupils at Mill Hill Schools.
Lunchtime Lectures
Pupils are encouraged to link their academic subjects to the wider world of work and engage in Q&A discussions with speakers on a range of topics. Recent examples include Computer Science, Entrepreneurship, Journalism and Law.
Careers & Conversations
Sixth Form pupils are invited to subject and profession specific events hosted by the Old Millhillians Club. These smaller events are an occasion for pupils to converse with Old Millhillians at the start of their careers about the ins and outs of particular professions, decision making and the world of work.
Evening Events for Parents and Pupils
We welcome parents and pupils at Mill Hill to attend out growing series of evening lectures and panel events. These events are a chance for pupils and parents to learn about different sectors, network among peers and take part in engaging discussions.
