Transforming Lives Through Bursaries

For more than 200 years, The Mill Hill School Foundation has been committed to transforming lives through bursarial support. Inspired by our Founders’ vision to ensure that talented young people can flourish regardless of financial circumstance, bursaries have long been part of Mill Hill’s heritage.

Thanks to the generosity of Old Millhillians, parents and friends around the world, we have been able to continue this proud tradition, creating life-changing opportunities for pupils in receipt of a bursary award, and working towards a future where even more pupils can benefit in this way.

This summer, Sixth Form pupils and recent leavers will be calling members of our community to reconnect, share the latest news from The Ridgeway, and invite support for our ambition to broaden access to a transformational Mill Hill education for generations of Millhillians to come.

Meet the Callers

Caroline M

Hi, I'm Caroline, I'm in Upper Sixth and I study Mathematics, Economics and Geography. I am Head Girl, a part of the 1st VII Netball squad and a proud member of School House. I'm excited to take part in this Telephone Campaign as it will help me pay forward all of the privileges and opportunities I have received by attending Mill Hill. From tailored academic support on my successful application to the University of Oxford, to specialist sport training and the beautiful grounds I'm so lucky to see every day.

I truly believe every child should be able to benefit from a Mill Hill education, no matter their background.

Antonio H

Hi! My name is Antonio and I’m currently in the Upper Sixth and a Prefect of Ridgeway House. I am studying Mathematics, Economics and Psychology and am thrilled to be participating in the Telephone Campaign; as a bursary holder, I would love to encourage Old Millhillians to support a cause that’s had such a profound impact on my life, teaching me valuable lessons and skills that I wouldn’t have learned otherwise. My favourite thing about Mill Hill is the strong community spirit that brings us all together and has allowed me to connect with pupils, staff and Old Millhillians from all walks of life.

Sofia L

Hi, my name is Sofia. I joined the Foundation in Fourth Form and am now in Upper Sixth. I am studying English Literature, Mathematics and Drama A-Level and have participated in many of the English Society and Drama activities across the years. My favourite memory from Mill Hill is when I directed a production when in Remove. The bonds and memories I formed with the cast were incredible and it is such a lovely experience to look back on. I'm excited to hear about the memories of Old Millhillians and what they took part in whilst at School.

Misha G

Hi my name is Misha, I am currently in Lower Sixth studying History, Politics, Drama and Russian. I am a member of School House and committed to contributing to the Telephone Campaign by giving back to the community, supporting pupils who would benefit from the opportunities that Mill Hill has to offer them.

I take part in CCF, Model United Nations and the Christian Society which has introduced me to new friends and allowed me to engage with the wide range of activities at Mill Hill. One of the highlights within my House was the House Hog which brought the entire house together making it feel like a community and created memories that will last with me forever. I'm excited to speak to Old Millhillians around the world.

Parul S

Hello! I’m Parul, and I am in Upper Sixth, studying Maths, Economics and Spanish. I joined the Foundation in Year 3 at Belmont, so it’s been a big part of my life for many years. I’ve been fortunate to take part in a range of opportunities, including my role as a Prefect; writing, directing and performing in the Hispanic Theatre competition; and the Tamil Nadu Overseas Partnership trip last summer - all of which were incredibly rewarding. I’m really looking forward to being part of the Telephone Campaign, as it’s a great way to stay connected to a community that I’ve been a part of for so long.

Kevin M

Hi! My name is Kevin, and I am in Lower Sixth in Priestley. I joined the Foundation in Year 7 at Belmont. I am currently studying Mathmatics, Chemistry and Economics, and take part in the Economics Society and the Multicultural Society, which I really enjoy as they let me explore my interests and meet new people. I’m excited for the Telephone Campaign because it’s a great opportunity to connect with Old Millhillians and hear about their time at School.

Benji L

Hi! My name is Benji and I’m in Lower Sixth in Cedars House. I have been a part of the Foundation since the Fourth Form and am currently studying Mathematics, Economics and German.

Outside of studying, I am a member of the Economics Society, Charities Society and Maths Society. My favourite House memory would definitely be winning 6/10 mile cup as the whole House comes together. I’m excited to take part in the Telephone Campaign because I love Mill Hill’s community feel and am excited to speak to Old Millhillians around the world.

Hannah H

Hi, my name is Hannah. I joined the Foundation in the Fourth Form and left in Upper Sixth and was a member of McClure. At School, I was heavily involved in sport, captaining the Hockey 1st XI. I still play every weekend for the Old Millhillians team! I loved the energy and sense of community at Mill Hill - there was never a dull day!

Since leaving Mill Hill, I have completed a BA in Theology & Religion at The University of Durham. I am now studying a law conversion in London ahead of starting my solicitor qualifications and a training contract with a commercial law firm. I’m excited to be part of the telephone campaign as a chance to connect with the Mill Hill community and give back to a School that gave me so much.

Florence G

Hi, my name is Florence and I am a second-year Law student at Durham University. I attended Mill Hill for the Sixth Form and was in Murray House. I really enjoyed taking part in extra-curricular activities such as Model United Nations, Chapel Choir, Volunteering at AgeUK, and Geography Society amongst others.

I'm most excited to have the opportunity to connect with Old Millhillians and hear more about their time at School. During the last Telephone Campaign, I learnt so much about the history of the School and how it prepared pupils for their future careers. It was incredibly rewarding to hear the rhetoric of so many individuals reflecting my own time at Mill Hill and reminding me of all the wonderful opportunities I was lucky enough to have been afforded.

Rachael C

Hi, my name is Rachael, and I’m fortunate to be returning for another year as a caller in support of the School’s bursary programme. I attended the Mill Hill School Foundation from 2017 to 2022, proudly representing my school as Head of Murray House, Head of the RAF and Drum Major, alongside my academic, sporting and creative achievements.

I am passionate about Mill Hill because I attribute my success to my time at school, which awarded me my place at the University of Oxford and has since encouraged me to pursue a master’s degree. I am excited to hear more about fellow Old Millhillians’ experiences at School and beyond, as well as to promote the bursary programme. I hope you will join me in giving back to an institution which fundamentally changed my life so that it may continue to give to a whole new generation.
