Art
We were very lucky to have our expert art consultant, Maureen Burgess, visit us this week. She challenged the children to create a magnificent piece of artwork with the main focus being tigers. With each Year 2 class, she used different techniques, styles and media to create work that the children are proud of. Their tigers will be used as the front cover for their Learning Journals and we look forward to you seeing them.
Literacy
Our focus this week has been around the book ‘Lord of the Forest’ by Caroline Pitcher. We have read the book and spent time discussing, predicting and making inferences from the text.
