At different stages in development, a child may require further support to help them reach their potential. Our Special Educational Needs Coordinator (SENCO) supports children according to their particular needs, liaising closely with their teachers to identify what is needed and the best collective way of addressing this.
Support may take the form of one-to-one help, working in a small group, or within class through appropriate differentiation. This may be provided in our dedicated Learning Support room or within a classroom setting.
We have a department of qualified and experienced specialists lead by our SENCO, with a visiting speech therapist and Occupational therapist should they be required.
We strive to work in partnership with parents so they are able to fully support their child’s learning. This is a vital and key component of a successful school experience.
