On Friday 28th October, Grimsdell proudly supported Macmillan Cancer Support by joining in their annual nationwide fundraising Coffee Morning! There was bunting, balloons, tea, coffee, lots of cake and more bunting! The hall was decorated with Mrs Ticehurst’s wonderful bunting and the GPA provided colour coordinated napkins and tablecloths to welcome the parents at 8.30am. Our fabulous Grimsdell parents had been baking all week to provide us with cakes that would be the envy of The Great British Bake Off! We had so many donations of delicious cakes that we had to rush to put up extra tables! So of course, we have to say a huge thank you to our incredibly supportive parents for their baking skills and for helping us to eat all the cake! Many thanks to Maggie and her team for providing us with tea and coffee as always. The children then had the opportunity to buy left over cake after school. Together they raised £663.72!
We had a mini coffee morning in the staffroom where we donated money for our usual tea and coffee and also for Maggie’s yummy cake. The staff raised £118 in 20 minutes! WOW!
Well done to everyone who helped, donated and bought raising a grand total of £781.72. Your help and support with this event is hugely appreciated.
