This week we have been reading the story ‘The Tiger Who Came to Tea’. The children have been roleplaying the story, making tigers out of playdough and writing tiger facts.
We have also looked closely at different types of teas. We painted with English breakfast tea and used our senses to describe herbal teas. The children thought the mixed berry flavoured tea smelt the best.
We have also looked at circles and the number 3. The children enjoyed decorating the number 3 and fishing using the magnets to find 3 circles.
Today we had our very own tea party! We wrote an invitation to a Reception class and asked if they would like to join us. To prepare for the party the children helped me make a list of the items we needed and I went on a shopping trip. We used juicers to make our very own orange juice today and served this in teapots. Nursery and the Reception children had great fun!!
