Reception have been working hard on their songs and dances this week and took a trip to ‘The Large’ at Mill Hill School to practice saying their lines. We worked on trying to project our voices to fill the big space. I’m looking forward to seeing the show come together in our last full week of rehearsals next week.
Nursery have been super imaginative choosing instruments to play to help bring our book to life, ‘The Cranky Caterpillar.’ The children were allocated certain parts of the book where they were required to play and I was impressed with their patience and concentration when waiting for their turn to play. They are really beginning to understand the concept of watching the conductor and are disciplined with when to stop playing their instruments.
In Year 2 task time we have been learning to sing ‘Those Magnificent Men in their Flying Machines’, the children came up with some brilliant ideas for a dance which we choreographed together in an arrow formation like the Red Arrows.
