This week in Nursery…

Nursery started the week off with a bang and I think you would all agree that the children were fantastic on Monday in the Open Music session. The children were confident and beautifully behaved when showing you what we do in our music lesson on a weekly basis.

Nursery have loved the new under the sea themed role play area. The children have created beautiful homes for the sea creatures and used shiny, sparkly material to be fish and mermaids themselves.

The children enjoyed learning the new sounds of the week. They decorated their ‘b’ with blue bricks and their ‘f’ with feathers.

We have enjoyed reading and thinking about the story of ‘The Rainbow Fish’. The children all made their very own rainbow fish and had to think carefully about whether they would take all of the sparkly bits or share them with their friends.

We had great fun learning how to play golf on Thursday. The children showed great co-ordination and control, the golf teacher was very impressed.

Today before Forest School we splashed in puddles. Some of the children wanted to learn about puddles and we thought the best way to do this was to make some puddles and jump in them. The children had great fun and as they were wearing their Forest School outfits it didn’t matter if they got wet and dirty.
