Year 2 continued their learning around the story of Hansel and Gretel this week, which will culminate in the children retelling the story next week.
In computing with Mrs Golden, they used Purple Mash to edit and decorate the net for their own Sweetie House.
In DT, the children were tasked with cutting out their Sweetie House from A3 card and then sticking it together. They were incredibly proud of their efforts!
Using their house as inspiration, they wrote a description of a Sweetie House making sure to try to include alliteration, similes and the power of three adjectives.
In RSE, we discussed and sorted the differences between boys and girls relating this to our work on Hansel and Gretel. We also introduced the concept of male and female gender stereotypes.
