This week in Year 1 children are getting prepared for our own Grimsdell mini-Olympics. We have learnt about Sky Brown, one of Great Britain’s youngest international athletes.
We researched and created a Sky Browne fact file poster. Children learnt about the history of the Olympics and then shared information about their favourite Olympic sport.
On Wednesday, it was the children’s turn to flex their sporting prowess and compete in our annual sports day. Despite parents not being able to attend, the spirit of teamwork and comradery was very evident as everyone made an extra effort to cheer each other on.
