Years 1 and 2 have spent some time at the Patrick Troughton Theatre at Mill Hill School familiarising themselves with the new space and practising their exits and entrances. So many of the children have learnt their lines brilliantly and are already delivering them with expression and conviction. It has made the children very excited to perform to their families in a few week’s time.
Reception have been thinking about the benefits of sharing and learning about being a good role model through a song called “The Sharing Song” by The Musical Dots. This fantastic Ed Sheeran inspired children’s pop song features the guitar performing the main riff. We explored the guitars that we have at school, all of the children had a chance to play and we spoke about the different sounds the strings make, the correct way to hold it and how to tune the guitar. We definitely have some budding guitarists amongst us.
