The Grimsdell Way is one of the key features of our school and encourages all our pupils to behave in a kind and respectful way towards others and also to have self-respect. It asks that they:
Treat others as they would like to be treated themselves
The theme of remembrance in our assembly this week was a touching way to instil these values further within the children. We shared images of poppies, looked at artworks inspired by poppies and even poetry – and we sensitively explored the reason we wear poppies at this time of year and gently explored some of the history related to this. The children showed great respect and interest during the assembly and maturity beyond their years and many have since chosen to make a small donation in order to wear their poppy proudly.
