The first session of the “Hot Topic“ debates got off to a flying start on Tuesday lunchtime, with a highly interesting and thought provoking debate entitled “Is Eugenics a pseudo-science?”. The selected Panel were made-up of Ray Butera, Luke Kon and Robert Yellon representing the student voice, and Mr Hughes, Mr Chilton and Mr McDonough lending their expertise on the subject.
“Hot Topic“ is an entirely student-led debate, created by “Question Time” fans Luke Kon and Ray Butera. The topic at hand is briefly introduced and explained by a mixture of students and teachers, then the floor is open to the audience for questions and views.
