Foundation Day 2009

On the Master's Lawn - Belmont

The Quad from the Favell Building

Around 2,000 pupils, staff, parents, Old Millhillians and other guests enjoyed a Foundation Day bathed in beautiful sunshine. Following the traditional chapel service, prizes were awarded by Guest of Honour, Sir Tony Brenton. Sir Tony’s excellent address, dealing with his time as Ambassador to Russia and the end of the Cold War, was warmly received by pupils, staff and parents alike. Following the formality of prize giving, it was time for all to enjoy the sunshine, visit the many activities and displays on offer, and watch the 1st XV extend this year’s unbeaten run with a splendid 27-0 victory over The Leys.
