Dame Angela Rumbold, Chair of the Court of Governors at Mill Hill School from 1995 to 2004, sadly passed away on Sunday 20 June 2010 aged 77. Dame Angela, a former education minister and vice-chairman of the Conservative Party, will be remembered as an outspoken Thatcherite who worked to secure more representation for women. She was MP for Mitcham and Morden in South London from 1982 to 1997 and was appointed CBE in 1981, advancing to DBE in 1992. She is survived by her husband, John, two sons and a daughter.
