A huge thank you must go to all of the runners who took part in Saturday’s (19th May) charity run. The pupils and staff who ran will soon be heading overseas on Partnership trips to Tamil Nadu or Zambia this summer; they participated in a 10k run to raise money for the children and facilities in these countries. Everyone who took part had a great time and some pupils dressed in colourful and exotic costumes (the two themes were ‘festival’ and ‘superheroes’).
We all helped encourage each other along the way and the family, friends and staff who came along were very vocal with their support. The sun was shining throughout the run and we felt very proud as we were cheered across the finishing line. Our groups leave for their partnerships in just five weeks’ time so the run provided a great last minute opportunity for some team bonding.
