Zambia: Day Two

After overcoming the challenge of getting up at 6:45am (5am for the girls!), we made our way to breakfast where we had sausages, eggs and malaria pills. Following this, we prepared for our first day of coaching. We were welcomed to our schools by hundreds of shouting and screaming children, all of which had a great fascination with our hair. The general feel of the first day among each group is that the children were energetic and eager to participate in the tag rugby sessions, this feeling of excitement and enthusiasm will only grow over the next couple of days of coaching. After a very tiring day of coaching, we made our way back to Mpelembe school for a couple of hours of relaxation. Following this, we ate dinner and played a game of cards before getting ready for an early night ahead of another hectic day tomorrow.
