Meet India and Alexander – Honorary Sports Scholars

Mill Hill supports and encourages pupils to participate in a variety of sports. For this reason, scholarships have been awarded to pupils whose passions lie beyond the sports offered at our school.

We have celebrated two pupils who were unable to receive their Honorary Sports Scholarships on Foundation Day.

India (Lower Sixth, Winfield) received an Honorary Sports Scholarship for her excellence in Gymnastics and Tennis. India has participated in gymnastics since she was seven years old and is now at Level 7. She currently trains in Camden at the Talacre Community Sports Centre. India is a specialist in Floor Work but also enjoys using the bar and beam. She thrives in competitions as gymnasts get marked for showing emotion and confidence, which she excels at when performing. India has also played tennis since she was three and is a fantastic player.

Alexander (Lower Sixth, Winfield) received an Honorary Sports Scholarship for Karate. Alexander recently returned from Italy after his momentous performance in the World Championships Under 17s, in which he came 4th! He ranked 3rd in 2019 and won in 2017. His next big competition will be in Brussels and then Austria. His sporting goal is to win as many championships as possible and hopefully compete in the Olympics!

Well done India and Alexander!
