Congratulations to Guy (Fourth Form, Priestley), who has been selected for Team Tennis GB to compete at the JCC Maccabi Games in Fort Lauderdale, USA, in August 2023! The JCC Maccabi Games is the world’s largest Jewish youth sports event. Around 1,500 athletes aged between 13 and 16 from across the globe compete in various sports. These include Dance, Football, Swimming, Table Tennis and Tennis.
Guy will be one of 62 representatives for Team Maccabi GB who will compete in the Tennis Team. To be selected for the Games is an outstanding achievement, and we look forward to hearing how he gets on. We also wish Guy all the best with his preparations on and off the court over the next few months!
Guy is already attending the weekly Tennis specific strength and conditioning sessions run by Miss Ward in the Studio on Wednesday which will no doubt assist in his preparations. If any other pupils wish to sign up for this, then please email Miss Ward.
