Saturday morning saw the inaugural outing of the Grimsdell Mums’ Netball team as they challenged the Mill Hill U16 squad. Around 15 Mums represented Grimsdell with such enthusiasm and energy that it has already led to the creation of a regular Friday afternoon training session (for more details about these sessions please contact Mrs Suarez-Rivas). The U16s are now looking forward to their match against the Mill Hill Mums on the March 16.
These two fixtures are effectively a warm up for the bigger triangular tournament between the Mums of MHS, Belmont and Grimsdell, which is being held on March 23 (9am-12pm) at Mill Hill Sports Centre. The great news is that MHS Mums have enough players signed up for two teams. Belmont currently have seven parents signed up (although I believe there are more that are yet to follow) and enthusiasm and numbers seemed very high amongst the Grimsdell Mums too.
