The Year 8s were introduced to the context of war poetry in their English lessons, before exploring and discussing the poetic language and methods used by poets, including Owen and Sassoon, to present their perspective of war and suffering.
The pupils were then invited to select a creative task to demonstrate their understanding of their chosen poem(s).
The pupils were provided with various resources to support their independent and group work – more photos to follow as we come closer to finishing the project!
