Future Leaders and Future Sporting Heroes

Dear Parents

I hope you have all had a lovely week.

Head for the Day

My week got off to a great start when Elai, took on the Belmont headship for the day. He was Brilliant and the children loved listening to his story about positivity, the theme for the week. Mr Sagi talked about his experiences of moving from the B team in football to the C team and how he worked hard and remained positive to make his way back into the B team. The children also loved his choice of music on the Jukebox Challenge – Titanium by David Guetta (featuring Sia). I think the children would be happy to have Mr Sagi as their head more often.

Please read the blog that Elai wrote as one of his tasks when he spent time with the Marketing Department here.

Sporting Success

It has been an amazing week for Belmont on the sporting front. On Wednesday our 1st, 2nd and 3rd XI football teams all had good wins against Merchant Taylor’s School. Thursday saw some of our strongest girl cricketers compete in the National Lady Taverners Cricket Competition. The girls won all of three of their games, including a tough match against Teddington. The girls have now progressed through to the County Finals where they will face the other top three schools in the County, all hoping to represent Middlesex in the Regional Finals at Lords.

Finally, The Middlesex cross country championships took place at Harrow School yesterday. Belmont and Mill Hill travelled together with pupils from years 7-10. All the pupils did very well but Archie Nash was the standout performer on the day finishing first in a strong field of runners. All the pupils should be very proud of their sporting achievements this week.

I hope you have a lovely weekend.

Best wishes

Leon Roberts
