Head’s blog
The School community is beginning to take shape and the new faces welcomed at the beginning now all familiar. This week our pupils have been finalising their co-curricular choices and it is wonderful to see everyone trying out new activities.
What better way to prepare our pupils for life now and in the future than to have them come together with pupils from across the Foundation in a wide range of endeavours? From debating about the implications of Brexit in a Politics and Current Affairs Club to learning how to make ‘Pasta al Sugo’ – there is something for everyone and the difficulty is to decide which interest wins over others.
This weekend Housemaster, Mr Turner, will take all our boarders and day pupils on an exciting Action Day Out in Dorking where they will be challenging their fears in an army assault course. Team-building is a vital part of our induction at the start of the year and our pupils will return, perhaps tired, but with a stronger sense of community.
